3. ENCOUNTER WITH THE HOLY GROUND IN THE FIELD
Rafael Ruiz
able to connect with the transcendent forces that manifest themselves in the field,
inviting us to acknowledge, honor and interact with them, through a mindful
understanding.
Since the field is a multidimensional manifestation of the different forces
whenever there is a true encounter with others, in constellation work it
encompasses the systems of everyone involved although it is directed specifically
towards the healing of a particular theme chosen by one of the participants.
Through the interaction of these forces, everyone benefits personally from the
process and the encounter opens a transcendent field of possibilities and can
become a holy ground.
Beginning with a brief explanation to bring the group together in a sharing
circle, we will be guided to the field that unravels at that moment. This workshop,
through various techniques, attempts to guide the participants towards an
encounter with the transcendental holy elements that display themselves in the field
in its different dimensions. Learning to encounter these forces, within the here and
now of the experience, allows the participants to acquire a more sensitive
disposition in their own fields. This is essential for all systemic constellation work and can mobilize the spiritual forces that determine destiny.
His studies include a masters degree from Union Seminary in New York.
His work has been deeply moved by Thich Nhat Hanh’s teachings.
He is a retired professor from the Psychology Faculty in the Universidad Autónoma
de Queretaro.
First trained in family constellations by Carola Diduche in the Gestalt Institute in
Querétaro Mexico. He is certified by the Hellinger Science where he attended
several intensive training courses offered by Bert Hellinger in Mexico.
As workshop facilitator he has traveled in several latin and north american
countries, Spain, as well as several cities in Mexico.

4. Hosting Systemic Constellations in Service of Peace
Thierry Deketelaere & Rainer von Leoprechting
Europe today. Tensions are growing in Europe’s countries, wars are around Europe, extremist national parties are growing from North to South and West to East. The formal European leaders seem unable to direct a human welcome for the hundreds of thousands of refugees who just escape wars and terrors. They leave it to the responsibility of the national countries and governments facing the fears of a minority of their citizens boosted up through media and right wing parties.
Just after the end of the Second World War, the founders of the European integration had turned their backs to wars and set out to build peace between Europeans. A few visionary leaders invested their energy and motivation to organising peace and stability that we now take for granted. From resistance fighters to lawyers, the founding fathers were a diverse group of people who held the same ideals: a peaceful, united and prosperous Europe.
Past issues like war and conflict, as much as the inner sensation of Peace in our inner parts and families all combine in our experience of Peace.
Thierry and Rainer with a growing group of practitioners developed a combination of processes and methods that allow participants to explore their issues with Peace or the absence of it, connect with the systems behind it in a series of constellations, and come out of the workshop with a collectively informed sense of meaning and actions they can take for their own life to be more in Peace.
Thierry and Rainer will present how they work on collective issues around War and Peace with concrete questions from participants present in Zagreb.
Thierry started practicing constellations work in 2008 after 2 years of classes with Ramoda Austermann. Practicing in Belgium and France, in individual and group constellations around family questions. After raising 8 children, constellations were the way to work in deep roots of his family system. Former co-president of the Cofasy, the Belgian French language facilitators association, Thierry is also entrepreneur in the publishing business since 35 years.
Rainer started practicing constellation work even before he did the training with Johannes Schmidt in 2004 and he has never stopped. He uses it in all areas of life and in his work as a consultant in often very complex systems where no one sees the solution right away. Brilliant in the application of questions Rainer is supporting others to find the question that moves them. In the constellation community he co-founded, he brings in his own life experience, the studies in economics and history, and his work as a developmental coach. He blends the Art of Hosting with constellations, so that the whole circle becomes both witness and client for collective issues. More on his work on www.constellationcommunity.org
5. Timeline of Conflicts: Coexistence of Differences
Friedrich Schwarzinger
Clients: partners trying to resolve a conflict (it could be separation or divorce, but it must not be)
Content: the conflict partners will stand in 6 (A to F) different positions/stations of their history/chronology (according to the good and old systemic timeline)
A – Before the (private or professional) relationship began (for those, which are highly associated with the conflict, to get a point of dissociation = exception in the past)
B – Start of the relationship/connection of the partners ( all the ideas, hopes, visions but also concerns, fears at the beginning – example marriage)
C – Point of realisation that there is a problem and separation becomes a real option (could be very different, for one partner years ago and for the other partner only some days ago)
D – Now (here and now) – after standing in the two positions in the future (E and F) we go back to D to continue the constellation-work, at least to make a decision about HOW to continue, to find an acceptance for everybody
E – Future-point, when this conflict is solved (independently of how, either a decision of a court or an agreement or somehow else), the moment marking the end of the direct conflict)
F – 5 years after E (fictitious experience of consequences – also a look for exceptions in the future)
In the end back to D (here and now) to start some de-escalating from a base where differences can coexist.

6. When to Heal is To Betray Ourselves: Entanglements with Self In and Across Time
Leslie Nipps
What happens when our life takes a direction we hadn’t planned, didn’t expect, and doesn’t align with our sense of who we are? How do we continue in the new reality that we are now forced to live in?
Over the years, I’ve seen many clients who are struggling with this: they cannot move on because there was a life that they feel was more true than the life they ended up living (usually the result of a sudden, painful “fork in the road” experience). These have the classic form of “entanglements”: systemic bonds, chosen out of love, and maintained in the impression that we are helping, saving or healing the other when we are in no position to do so.
These entanglements with selves in or across time are occasionally the main element in certain types of constellations that otherwise appear to be more classically ancestral, and so they tend to be missed. But they are also very, very prevalent in ordinary life. How many of us are entangled with the alternative self who didn’t have the alcoholic father, the depressed mother, the childhood illness? When we look at the situation systemically, our parallel self (the life not lived), is a real element in our system that has real effect on our life.
This workshop will introduce us these entanglements, and provide a simple exercise to work with them. My general article on this topic you find here

7. On Sacred Ground: Creating Powerful Healing Workshops
James Woeber
Have you ever lead a workshop with the highest intention to support healing, only to notice your participants are emotionally and energetically exhausted at the end? This can especially be a potential challenge with constellation workshops, that often delve very deep into old traumas and ancestral entanglements. By carefully considering the design of your workshops, your stance as facilitator, and the container that you create for your groups, you can maximize the opportunity for your participants to have a growthful, healing, energizing experience.
In this presentation you will learn how to:
- Establish a healing container for your workshop even before you step into the room.
- Recruit the participants to co-create the healing dynamics that you wish to establish in the workshop.
- Create a cohesive experience through a powerful mix of content that uplifts, deepens, and provides time for integration.
- Incorporate other modalities with the constellation work, such as energy healing, exercise, meditation, visualization, breathwork or even a walk in nature, to help break monotony, build energy, and integrate the deep work that is being done.
- Use the closing of the workshop to anchor the healing movements, remind students of their resources, and provide a next step forward in their healing process.
By integrating key design considerations into our classes and effectively tracking our group’s process, we can all create powerful constellation workshops and private sessions that leave participants feeling energized, inspired and ready to take their next wholehearted step forward in their lives.
8. Constellations with the Individual Client: Several Ways to Go and How I Got There
Sheila Saunders
I first learned constellations from those that were doing them mostly in groups, and I came to believe that I needed a group to use the constellation approach. This was mainly because I was placing most of the emphasis on the content and process of the constellation. After 8 or 9 years of participating in workshops with the best of the best first generation German facilitators and in the last 10 years focusing on the work of Stephan Hausner, that has changed. Following Stephan’s process of focusing on the client, I have found a consistently effective way of enabling change for the client in an individual session. I am not the first, nor am I alone in this, but I am happy to share a half dozen ways that I use our work in the service of the individual or couple. These include visualization, use of markers, having the client represent, using myself as a representative, a combination of all, and most importantly, the use of a healing text. Please join me if you have been wanting to expand your offerings to include working without a group. Bonus content includes working over the phone using the same grounded techniques and some tips on the Learning Circle.
Sheila Saunders is a Registered Nurse and a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) with Master’s degrees in Clinical Psychology and Homeopathic Medicine. She has worked in the psychiatric field for 39 years, providing group therapy at the former John Bradshaw National Treatment Center in Los Angeles, working in children’s residential treatment, psychiatric hospitals, chemical dependency programs, in Superior Court’s Family Court and most recently as a counselor with the US Military.
Sheila trained extensively in Family Constellations with Bert Hellinger, as well as with the most experienced international facilitators. Sheila has presented her work at conferences in Oaxaca, Mexico, Portland, OR., Santa Barbara, CA. and elsewhere throughout America. Additionally, Sheila had the honor of organizing the 2nd US Conference in 2007. Sheila offers workshops, individual sessions, phone sessions, and trainings and finds Constellations to provide an opportunity for the most profound life changes.
